Falling in love with the HomePod Mini.
Because we are unabashedly an Apple Home, I knew I would like the Mini. I find setting named timers in the kitchen and verbally sending music to specific rooms surprisingly delightful. I bought two; I want more.
Not letting go of my Tivoli radios.
Previously, we committed to a setup of Tivoli radios + Airport Express in most rooms of the house. It wasn't cheap and we haven't regretted it. When I bought the HomePods I was afraid I would have to ditch the Tivolis, but everything works together seamlessly. The radios, with their exceptional sound quality and classy appearance, stay. The HomePods do the directing. It's simple and logical and lovely.
Reading the Winter Issue of Domino.
It's focused on Renovation. They are inside my brain.
Listening to the Audiobook version of David Sedaris's The Best of Me.
But really, who isn't?
Contemplating Cookies.
The NYTimes told me about Dorie Greenspan's recipe for Lemon Meringue cookies + I'm on Day 5 of the Bonne Maman Advent Calendar, which means I've got a few tiny jams in my house, with 19 more to come. Dorie's butter cookie might be the perfect vehicle to get that jam into my mouth. Also under consideration are David Lebovitz's Sablés Bretons.
Planning my next move.
I've got energy to channel. Possible projects:
- Guest bathroom improvements
- Actually teaching two dogs new tricks
- Getting my art on (but really, where does it go?)
- Practicing my horrible and limited French

Searching for my Christmas spirit / Why put up a Christmas tree when nobody is going to see it? / Am I a Christmas Grinch or is it 2020? / I like my mantel the way it is.
